Expert recruiter review of Codility for candidate evaluations

As interest rates have gone up and venture capital has dried up, Codility has unfortunately stalled considerably. After an impressive rebrand in 2023, recent employee feedback on Glassdoor suggests that the company has fallen behind the competition and is playing catch up rather than innovating. Like HackerRank, they target large corporations in regulated industries with advanced and customizable enterprise functionality, but HackerRank has generally pulled ahead in that market.

Pros:

• Offering for high-volume simultaneous candidate evaluations like university recruiting and hackathons

• At the forefront of DEI and validated testing with significant investment in measuring adverse impact

Cons:

• Lacks any unique features that are unavailable on other platforms

• Generally expensive with significant renewal costs

• Restrictive number of admins
